~WOW~WOW~WOW~ This home is absolutely charming!!! It looks picture perfect, and there are so many delightful details inside and out! I love alcove at the back of the living room, where you can sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the large back yard and neighborhood beyond from a floor-to-ceiling window. There is a real open and airy feel when you first walk in, and I so appreciate all the green you can see from the plentiful windows. Oh, and speaking of windows: these ones are a rare find: they're all 2-option shutter type, where you can either open for more light but still keep the elements out, or you can open down to the screen to let in both light and fresh air (have a look at the pictures to see). The faux wood flooring looks great against the tasteful paint colors, baseboards, molding and trim. The dining area is so cheery and inviting - I can picture memorable gatherings around the table, and quiet evenings enjoyed on the back patio together. The kitchen, although humble, would be a nice place to spend time baking or cooking while still in the company of family and friends thanks to the pass-through window to the dining room. I really appreciate the fully remodeled bathroom, with tile shower surround and flooring, and tasteful neutral colors. The hallway and both bedrooms look great, and have unique details you'll love, like the textured wall in the hall, the large closet in the back bedroom, and the sunlight pouring in to the front bedroom... Then be sure to walk through the kitchen and out to the back yard. There are SO many options for building and enjoying this space - let your creativity run wild!! The seller tells me that there used to be a structure in the back yard, but it was torn down before they purchased the property. I can just see an ADU nestled back there, benefitting from the shade of the large trees, enjoying the quiet setting set far back from the street. Or, a new bigger house than the existing one in the back and use the existing house as the ADU. Check with the governing municipalities for feasibility and details. This house does need some TLC: The owner let us know that it needs a new roof and that there is some settling of the foundation. All that said, this house is one of the most charming, unique, full-of-possibilities places that you'll see on your search for a home. Make it yours before it's too late!
