"Everyone knows where the castle is," says listing agent Cydney Mace of HomeSmart PV & Associates.

If you go to the country, people ask, 'Is it past the castle or before it?'

The home is 3,881 square feet and listed for $2.89 million.

The builder of Castle Oaks Ranch completed it in 1987 and only lived in it for a few years. The sellers bought the property in 1996 and have lived there ever since.

Mays admits, "I've always wondered what it looks like and if the interior is like a real castle. It definitely has castle features, such as wrought iron railings, but it does feel like a home, not like being in a castle. When you walk in, it feels amazing."

The home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master suite is located on the first floor and has several unique features.

"There's a big bathtub, very big," Mays said. Mays said, "It's so big you just walk in. It's right in the bedroom, which is definitely fun."

A rotating staircase leads from the living room of the master suite to the roof of the castle.

Mays says, "Getting up on the roof gives you a 360-degree view of the entire valley, all the way to the Sierra Mountains." The lookout is really cool.

She notes that the sellers have done a lot of work on the place and everything is kept in pristine condition.

As the name implies, the land here includes pastures. Located behind a gate, the castle sits on 40 acres, eight of which are irrigated and can be used for grazing.

There is also a four-stall barn and corrals.

Mays said, "I think (the buyer) will be someone who likes horses. You could also have some recreational activities here."

The property has a six-car detached garage and a modular home, which sits on a nearby knoll.

Someone could tear down the modular home and build a second home there with a second mailing address, Mays said. The homeowner would receive letters from small children who want to enter the castle or become its king or queen.
