Abstract: Oakland Athletics manager Mark Coetzee is selling his huge home in Southern California for the same $9.875 million.

With the future of the Athletics in flux, the captain may be eyeing the luxury home market in Las Vegas. Or does he really want to settle down in the Bay Area suburbs as he begins his second season at the helm of the chronically underfunded ballclub?

Either way, he's ready to say goodbye to his mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, a suburb north of San Diego. Located on a large lot in a gated community, Kosay's mansion boasts 13,100 square feet, six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms.

The Tuscan-style home was built decades ago and has recently been updated with a fresh coat of paint inside and out. Remodelled bathrooms, new lighting, and a kitchen with luxury appliances are just some of the highlights.

The home's indoor-outdoor charm takes full advantage of California's mild climate. The main living room opens onto an inviting patio and courtyard.

The luxurious master suite is fit for royalty, with a wrap-around balcony, huge closets and a master bathroom larger than most city flats. The new owner can shower, enjoy the sauna, or soak in the tub while gazing at the beautiful views, or just relax on the sofa with plenty of space.

There is also a guest suite, five-car garage, and a home theatre with surround sound and seating for eight. Outdoor facilities are equally luxurious and include a swimming pool, spa, two barbecue spots, a fire pit, pizza oven, dog run and even a personal putting green to practice your short game.

Cosey, 47, a college baseball star at Cal State Fullerton, was drafted by the Florida Marlins in 1996 and made his major league debut just one year later. During his 17-year major league career, Coetzee played for seven teams, including two stints with the nearby San Diego Padres.

In late 2021, the former outfielder landed the managerial job with the Athletics and led the team to a 60-102 record in 2022.
