Abstract: Former NFL linebacker Blake Martinez is looking to trade in his Southern California home for $6.299 million.

His recent career change may have also forced him to re-evaluate his almost brand new home in Manhattan Beach, California.

Martinez and his wife purchased the six-bedroom, six-bathroom property in late May for $5.985 million.

Seven months later, it was back on the market with a 5% price increase.

This 4,800 sq ft modern farmhouse should attract a buyer with deep pockets.

Oak flooring throughout the kitchen and great room complements the blue and white colour scheme.

High ceilings, large windows and sliding doors allow sunlight in and illuminate the entire room.

The kitchen offers quartz countertops, bespoke cabinetry, Thermador hood and fridge with a full size drinks fridge on the side.

The lovely bedrooms, home office and lower level party room with a bar and space for various games and TV viewing - are highlights worth seeing.

Martinez is a long-time Pokémon player and collector and apparently owns around 40,000 coloured cards.

He broke into the NFL with the Green Bay Packers in 2016 and spent four seasons as a linebacker for that team.

A two-year stint with the New York Giants ended with a knee injury.

He signed a free agent deal with the Las Vegas Raiders in October, played in four games and then hung up his cleats to pursue his passion for Pokémon.
